Henry had a pretty big two weeks. Not only did he cut his first two teeth but he also ate rice cereal for the first time!
The week before Henry turned 6 months he didn't sleep, and, consequently, neither did we. He had an ear infection during Christmas and didn't sleep at all so we were worried it was the same problem. I took him in to see the doctor and she said the ears were clear--he was teething. He cut the two bottom teeth at the same time, poor baby.
Once he cut those teeth he felt much better, but now we're on to the next phase: Henry is learning to eat food. I had been putting it off because food makes for stinky diapers, but mostly I just didn't feel ready for him to get bigger. Henry, however, had no hesitations about the rice cereal. I expected a big grimace the first time, but he just had a big grin!

Henry's First Christmas
We spent Christmas this year with the Shaha's here in Arizona. We love the beautiful weather and the bright sunshine here! We kept the holiday nice and simple as my brother Mike was recovering from surgery and Henry was working through bronchitis and an ear infection. Despite all that, Henry was very excited for Christmas morning! He waited on the stairs to make sure Santa had come and gone--a Pugh family tradition that is being adopted by the next generation.
Henry really got a kick out of the wrapping paper. He doesn't understand the concept of unwrapping a present yet, but he still had fun. We had to be careful not to let him eat any tissue paper--it was just so crackly and tempting!
